Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s little girl just turned 4 — and the Duchess of Sussex is marking the occasion with some new photos!

The With Love, Meghan star, 43, made a heartfelt tribute on Instagram for Princess Lilibet‘s birthday on Wednesday, June 4.

Meghan first shared a post with two black-and-white snaps of her and Lilibet. The cover shot features the mother-daughter-duo on a boat, with Meghan embracing her little one in her arms. The second picture is from the hospital when Meghan gave birth.

“Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives — and each day is brighter and better because of it,” Meghan captioned her post. “Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!”

She then shared a separate post with photos of Harry, 40, with his daughter. The cover shot is a black-and-white picture of the Duke of Sussex holding Lilibet as a baby. The second photo shows Harry and his daughter hand-in-hand as they walk outside.

Meghan captioned the post, “The sweetest bond to watch unfold 💕 Daddy’s little girl and favorite adventurer Happy birthday Lili!”

Harry and Meghan wed in 2018 and welcomed their son, Archie, in May 2019. The former Suits actress then gave birth to Lilibet in June 2021.

Lilibet’s full name — Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor — carries a special meaning, as was explained in a statement following her birth.

“Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.”

In March, Meghan spoke to People about the special relationship she has with her daughter and explained why she included a picture of her and Lilibet on the website for her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

“Being able to have my own little girl, as I’ve spent so much of my life championing the rights of girls and women, and to be able to see this as a multigenerational story — Archie is of course included in that, my husband is of course included in that — but I love the heritage feeling of it and knowing this is something that I can create in front of my daughter and teach her what it’s like to be a working mom,” she told the outlet. “This is something that hopefully can be part of her legacy too.”
