Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay takes on a real-life case in My Mom Jane — the mysteries surrounding the life and death of her mother, Jayne Mansfield. The screen icon was killed in a horrific car accident in 1967, which Mariska, then 3, and her two older brothers miraculously survived. (Jayne was not beheaded, as urban legend has it.)

Mariska also reveals how she found out in her mid-20s that the loving dad who raised her, Mickey Hargitay, was not her bio father, and how she met the man who was. The doc unravels many of the secrets of Jayne’s life and is a wonderful tribute to the mom she barely knew.
