Did Brooklyn Beckham just get called out? In a post–Super Bowl interview with Marc Anthony about fellow Puerto Rican Bad Bunny’s historic performance, The Hollywood Reporter managed to sneak in a question about the Beckham family feud. And Marc, who was name-checked in Brooklyn’s six-page post excoriating his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, appeared to take their side over their estranged son, 26, and daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz Beckham, 31. (Remember, Marc was the one performing at the couple’s 2022 wedding where Brooklyn claims Victoria “danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.”)

“They’re a wonderful, wonderful family. I’ve known them since before the kids were born,” Marc, 57, revealed, adding that he’s godfather to Cruz, 20. (The couple also share son Romeo, 23, and 14-year-old daughter Harper.) “I have nothing to say about what happened there,” he insisted, then hinted, “It’s extremely unfortunate how it’s playing out — but [how it’s playing out] is hardly the truth.”

He’s not the only one who has a different perspective on what went down at the reception. In late January, DJ Fat Tony clarified that the only “inappropriate” thing that happened was the timing of the dance. “There was no slut dropping, there was no black PVC cat suits, there was no Spice Girl action,” he told ITV’s This Morning, explaining that guests — and the bride and groom — were uncomfortable when Marc called out to “the most beautifulest woman in the room,” meaning Victoria, not Nicola. The bride, he said, left the room “crying her eyes out.”
