Machine Gun Kelly composed the score of his daughter Saga’s birth — so it’s no surprise he and Megan Fox are making sure their baby girl learns about music from the get-go.
On Saturday, June 21, the “Cliché” singer, 35, dished on the two-month-old’s first musical milestones at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
“I was giving her a little drum lesson last night trying to get her little hand to hold the stick,” MGK (real name: Colson Baker) said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “Megan plays so much music for her.”
“She was playing [Queen’s] ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ for our baby,” he continued. “When it got to the part when it was like ‘Mamaaaa’… she started crying.”
The “my ex’s best friend” hitmaker walked the red carpet with his oldest daughter, 15-year old Casie Colson Baker, who introduced her father before he took the stage.

“I know no one really wants their parents at the party, but you? You’re pretty cool! Give it up for my dad, MGK!,” the teen said before he performed “Cliché” for the audience.
The dad of two then proceeded to get “slimed” as a part of a long-standing Kids’ Choice Awards tradition.
In the same interview with ET, Casie also spoke about being a brand new big sister to Saga Blade, who was born March 27.
“I love it. I was the only child for a really long time, so it’s good having a little sister,” Casie — whose mother is MGK’s ex, Emma Cannon — shared. “She’s so cute, she’s getting so big and fat, I love it.”
On June 17, MGK revealed he and Fox — who dated from 2020 until the end of 2024 — named their first child together Saga Blade Fox-Kelly. As Starpreviously reported, Kelly revealed in 2021 that he was a fan of the name ‘Blade’.
Though MGK and Fox called off their engagement, he’s made it clear that they intend to co-parent. On the June 20th episode of Today, Kelly talked about how his ex is adapting to life with a newborn once again. (Fox also shares Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex Brian Austin Green.)
“Megan is a great mom,” he said. “She’s killing it. I’m so excited.”
He also revealed the meaning behind the name Saga and how it relates to his relationship with Fox. “Coming back again, disappearing, coming back again—she is an epic story,” he said, seemingly referring to the couple’s past pregnancy loss. “And that’s what Saga means.”
He also spoke about how his ancestors came into play when they were deciding the name.
“I’m also of Norwegian heritage so that’s the Nordic goddess of storytelling,” he shared, adding that he thinks his daughter has a future of “storytelling” ahead.
