Kim Kardashian Is ‘Green With Envy’ Over BF Lewis Hamilton’s Friendship With Sofia Vergara

Lewis Hamilton and Sofía Vergara had a major connection that didn’t quite get off the ground last year, but they’ve stayed in touch. Now, a source exclusively tells Star that their friendship is causing Kim Kardashian to worry.

According to the source, Kardashian, 45, has grown increasingly insecure knowing the Formula 1 champion, 41, has remained in touch with Vergara, 53.

“Kim is doing her best not to let Lewis see this jealous side of her, but it’s not easy because anytime Sofía’s name comes up she practically turns green with envy,” the source says.

Hamilton and the Modern Family alum sparked rumors they were dating after they were photographed having lunch together in New York City in January 2025. While their outing fueled speculation that the two were dating, neither Hamilton nor Vergara confirmed they were dating.

Still, the source claims that the reality TV star hasn’t been able to shake concerns over their connection.

“Lewis is adamant that nothing has ever happened between him and Sofía, that they’re just friends, but in a way that makes Kim even more anxious because she knows men – they always want what they can’t have,” the source continues.

While Kardashian “isn’t accusing” Hamilton or Vergara of crossing any lines, she’d prefer if the America’s Got Talent judge weren’t part of the picture at all, even if it’s “just as a ‘friend.'”

“Sofía is single and stunning, and there’s obviously a connection between her and Lewis,” the source explains. “Otherwise, they never would have gone out together in the first place and they wouldn’t still be keeping in touch.”

However, Hamilton and the All’s Fair actress’ relationship is still too fresh for her to be making demands.

“She’s not at the stage in this relationship to start dictating who Lewis can and can’t talk to,” the source shares. “She’s got no choice but to grit her teeth and just hope that Sofía finds a man of her own sooner rather than later.”

News of Kardashian and Hamilton’s relationship first surfaced earlier this year in February. The two have remained fairly tight-lipped about their romance, but last month, Kardashian shared a snap of her and Hamilton riding Citi Bikes together in NYC.

Vergara was previously married to Joe Manganiello. The two first met in 2014 and officially tied the knot the following year. However, in July 2023, they announced they were separating and their divorce was finalized in April 2024.
