Since last summer, Justin Trudeau has shown he’s at ease in Katy Perry’s pop-star milieu, from dancing at her concert in July to cruising on a luxe yacht with her in September. On Jan. 20, Katy, 41, proved she was equally invested in Justin’s world, joining the former Canadian prime minister in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum.
A source says Justin, 54, “knew that bringing Katy would get a lot of attention, but that was kind of the point! He wanted all eyes on him and them as a couple.”

Katy, long known for candy-colored wigs and kitschy costumes (a Cheeto for Halloween; a hamburger at the Met Gala), was the picture of buttoned-up grace in Davos, where she proudly watched Justin deliver a speech at the Global Soft Power Summit.
“Katy’s a smart, grounded person at her core and she finds Justin’s lifestyle extremely impressive and attractive,” says a source. “Rubbing elbows with the intellectual types who attend Davos has been incredibly refreshing.”

After closing a long chapter of her life last June by ending her six-year engagement to Orlando Bloom (with whom she co-parents daughter Daisy, 5), Katy is ready to broaden her horizons, says the source. “Katy and Justin have talked endlessly about his policies and agenda, and she wants to be a part of it. She’s proud of her own profession, but she doesn’t want to box herself in. Katy and Justin are so in love, and he wants to share his entire life with her.”
