One of the most unlikely celebrity couples of the year is now Instagram official. Katy Perry shared a carousel of images from her recent trip to Japan on December 6, and several of the snapshots feature her new beau, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“Tokyo times on tour and more ( ◠‿◠ ),” pop star Perry, 41, captioned the post. While the first video in the carousel features a dancing Christmas tree, the second one is a sweet selfie of the “Firework” singer and the 53-year-old politician in what appears to be a park. Elsewhere, there’s a black and white video of the pair flirtatiously enjoying a bite to eat, and another clip of them looking at a starry light installation.

Perry was in Japan as part of her Lifetimes Tour, which kicked off in Mexico City in April and is scheduled to conclude in Abu Dhabi in December. While there, she joined Trudeau for a visit with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife. In a post on X featuring a picture of the foursome posing in front of a Christmas tree, Kishida referred to Perry as Trudeau’s “partner” in Japanese.

The couple were first linked in July, just one month after news surfaced that Perry had separated from her fiancé of six years, Orlando Bloom. In October, they stepped out to a show at the famed Crazy Horse Paris cabaret club to celebrate Perry’s birthday.
