Kaia Gerber: The Model And Actress Opens Up About Owning Her Feelings

I’ve always been quite mildtempered. My family called me the easy one,” cover girl Kaia Gerber admits in the December issue of Vogue. “I didn’t need anything. And I kind of prided myself on not having big feelings.” The 23-year-old, a dead-ringer for her supermodel mom, Cindy Crawford, has been learning to make herself heard, both with Library Science, her popular online book club, and with her growing list of acting roles. Working with a movement coach has helped her get in touch with long-buried feelings. “It’s about being in your body,” Kaia explains, adding, “I’ve really learned about where we store our trauma.” Dressed in pieces from Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2024 Collection, the model — who’s dated Pete Davidson and Jacob Elordi as well as current boyfriend Austin Butler — was fearless wearing the designer’s bold and colorful looks. As the fashion bible’s first-ever guest editor, Marc hand-picked her for the cover. He first worked with her for his beauty line and was impressed by how she transformed in front of the camera. “I guess it’s the same with performers in a way, where they’re a little shy and they’re not the extroverts that you thought they would be until they get onstage or until they get on set,” he told the mag. “And then all of a sudden, it’s like,What?”
