Jennifer Lopez Isn’t Rushing Back to Romance After Ben Affleck Split, ‘Focused’ on Work and Family

Jennifer Lopez’s love may not cost a thing — but for now, it’s not up for grabs.

Nearly one year after finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck, the superstar singer and actress is not dating, according to a source who spoke to People on Tuesday, December 30.

Instead, Lopez, 56, is pouring her energy into work, family and personal growth.

“It’s all about work and the kids for her,” the source told People, adding that Lopez “seems happy and content.” The hitmaker shares 17-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and has been prioritizing motherhood alongside her packed professional schedule.

Lopez and Affleck, 53, finalized their divorce in January 2025, roughly 20 weeks after she filed for dissolution in August 2024. The split came just two years after the former couple reunited and tied the knot for a second time, first in a private Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022, followed by a larger celebration in Georgia.

Since the breakup, Lopez has been open about embracing independence — and in a recent Interview feature, she admitted, “I’m not looking for anybody,” noting she’s enjoying being on her own.

That’s likely because her plate is already full: Lopez kicks off her Up All Night Live in Las Vegas residency on Tuesday, December 30, at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, marking her return to the Strip with shows running through early January and select dates in March.
