Jennifer Garner prefers a more natural approach to aging, and she’s found the perfect way to achieve that.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, published on Friday, June 6, the beloved actress, 53, revealed that instead of relying on cosmetic treatments to eliminate forehead lines, she covers them up with her hair.

“I don’t do a ton, and Botox doesn’t work very well for me; that’s why I wear bangs a lot,” she explained. “I like to be able to move my forehead, and it’s such a big part of my face. I have, like, a five-head.”

While the 13 Going on 30 star hasn’t ventured into injectables or plastic surgery, she admitted that she has considered it.

“Well, I don’t judge whatever makes anyone look or feel their best. I haven’t needed it yet, but I can’t say that I haven’t said to doctors before, ‘Do I need to do this?’” Garner explained. “And I’ve had really nice doctors who have just been like, ‘No.’”

That doesn’t mean she’s ruling out getting work done in the future. “God only knows 10 years from now what the conversation will be. I’m not there yet,” she told the outlet. “But as far as injectables go, I think just find somebody fantastic and proceed with caution.”

Garner makes sure to take care of her appearance in other ways that don’t involve going under the knife, sharing that sunscreen is a major part of her beauty routine — and that she likes to exercise “with people who are younger and more fit than” her.

However, she’s still embracing the idea of getting older.

“I’m not really that stressed about aging or things changing,” Garner told the publication. “I have my moments, of course, where I’ll look in the monitor at work and be like, ‘Who is that? Ah, that’s me!’ But I think less is more, as far as focusing on yourself too much in that way.”

“I want to age. I want to live to be 100. I don’t expect to look at 100 like I look today,” she continued. “I want to wear every single bit of those 100 years and feel great about them.”

Garner, who shares three children with ex-husband Ben AffleckViolet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13 — added that one thing she loves about aging is getting to experience her kids as teenagers.

“They’re just so smart and funny,” she gushed. “They make me laugh, and they’re so sweet.”
