Jason Kelce is no stranger to life with a famous sibling and revealed that he shares a unique bond with another man who understands that dynamic all too well: the brother of Brad Pitt.
The former NFL star, 37, and his brother Travis Kelce spoke with Brad, 61, about his latest movie, F1, following its successful theatrical release and segued into their own connection with the actor’s sibling during the Wednesday, July 2, episode of theNew Heights podcast.
“Say what’s up to Doug Pitt,” Jason said, before recalling a fun and challenging experience they shared. “I don’t know if you know this, I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with your brother.”
Brad, 61, is the eldest of three kids shared by parents William Pitt, a former owner of a trucking company, and Jane Pitt, a retired school counselor, followed by Doug, 58, and Julie Neal.
The Fight Club star revealed he heard about their trip to the popular destination before, adding, “He’s got two of you guys up there. He’s got Joe Buck up there and some other great [guy].”

Jason fondly remembered the trek in 2019, which was part of an effort to raise awareness about the clean water crisis in Tanzania, calling it “electric” and “a lot of fun.”
Doug holds the title of Goodwill Ambassador for the United Republic of Tanzania, which led him to make the trip while Jason’s former Philadelphia Eagles teammates Haloti Ngata and Beau Allen also joined the adventure.
Brad then asked about “coming down” the mountain, to which the former Philadelphia Eagle replied with a candid confession.
“That was worse. It’s easily the worst part,” Jason admitted. “You get so excited. You reach the summit and you’re like, ‘I’m here, it’s over now.’ But now you have to go back down.”
Brad appeared on the podcast after his Formula 1 flick earned the Oscar-winning performer the biggest opening of his career, with a whopping $144 million global debut. The actor portrays washed up driver Sonny Hayes, who gets another chance at redemption when the owner of a struggling Formula 1 team convinces him to return to racing to solidify his legacy.
According to Jerry Bruckheimer, the film was a significant one for the beloved star. “The saddest day for Brad was when we said, ‘It’s a wrap,’ and he had to climb out of the car,” the producer told People. “He just loved it.”
While Brad enjoys his box office success, Jason recently helped raise $1 million for the Eagles Autism Charity in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, as his brother gears up for the upcoming NFL season in training camp.
Meanwhile, Travis, 35, was recently spotted out and about with girlfriend Taylor Swift in his home state of Ohio, where the two hit up JoJo’s Bar in Chagrin Falls on July 1.
