Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson are staying mum on the status of their relationship while they promote The Naked Gun reboot – but according to an insider, their sizzling costar chemistry that they’ve been displaying is “very real.”
“They have genuine affection for one another,” the insider exclusively tells Star of the couple. “They became close while making the movie and it morphed into romance.”
Aside from their successful careers in the entertainment industry, the Taken actor, 73, and the Baywatch alum, 58, have “much” in common, according to the insider. Both have two sons that are “around the same age” – something that has been a “favorite topic” for them.
Neeson welcomed sons Micheál Richardson, 30, and Daniel Neeson, 28, with late wife Natasha Richardson, while Anderson shares sons Brandon, 29, and Jagger, 27, with ex-husband Tommy Lee.

The friends-turned-lovers also share a passion for reading “classic literature,” per the insider, who says, “[They] can discuss a book at length and never get bored.”
While both stars have been married before, the insider points out that their bond is different from past relationships.
“Liam is unlike anyone Pam has dated before, he’s a total gentleman and a class act, and she’s unlike anyone he’s dated before, too,” the insider reveals to Star. “They don’t seem to care what anybody says. They love each other and enjoy spending time together and they’re happy.”
As Star previously reported, the pair first sparked rumors of romance earlier this month when they appeared to get flirtatious in an interview where they talked about filming a sex scene together.
The Love Actually actor joked that the intimacy coordinator on set threw her hands up and told them, “I can’t take this! This is too hot for me. I’m going for coffee,” according to The Sun.

Neeson also gushed that he was “madly in love with her” in an interview with People, calling her “so funny and so easy to work with.”
As for Anderson, she said she’d found a “friend forever” in the older actor.
“We definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving, and he’s a good guy,” she told Entertainment Weekly at the time. “It is funny: We all come to this place in different ways, but to be able to share this experience with him is very meaningful and such an honor.”
