Before she left her job as cohost of the Today show, Hoda Kotb was used to getting up very early.
Her first alarm went off at 3 a.m., with another 15 minutes later. “Don’t hit snooze. Don’t do it,” she cautioned, adding, “You think that 10 more minutes is gonna be great. It’s never good.”
Now that the 60-year-old isn’t hopping into a car to drive her to the studio at 4:15, insiders tell Star the mom of two is having trouble adjusting to her new normal. After she was spotted doing the school run makeupfree and looking sleepy, Hoda — who quit the morning show in order to spend more time with daughters Haley, 8, and 5-year-old Hope — “seems more tired than ever,” a source revealed. “Hoda’s days revolve around the kids’ school schedule and activities.”
Of course, she’s also pursuing her podcast, wellness app and other projects, but it’s not exactly sipping wine with cohost Jenna Bush Hager in front of 2.5 million viewers. Adds the insider, “She misses the glamour and attention the show gave her!”
