Hailee Steinfeld Reveals the One Rule She and Husband Josh Allen Asked Their Wedding Guests to Follow

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen wanted to have their friends and family’s full attention on their wedding day.

On Friday, June 13, the singer/actress, 28, sent out her Beau Society email newsletter and revealed all the details surrounding her nuptials last month, including how she and the Buffalo Bills quarterback, 29, enacted a no-phone policy for guests.

“We wanted everyone to come and be present,” she explained in the newsletter, according to People.

“Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we made. But that meant [our photographer] Jose [Villa] had his work cut out for him, capturing all the magic for us.”

The Hawkeye alum shared many memorable moments with her loved ones throughout her entire wedding weekend.

On Thursday, May 29 — two nights before they officially tied the knot —  she and the NFL star held an immediate family-only dinner where Steinfeld’s older brother, Griffin, asked the group, “When did you know Hailee and Josh were meant to be together?”

“Everyone went around and shared tiny, sweet, thoughtful, and funny observations,” Steinfeld recalled, per People.

Additionally, the night before the wedding, the couple also asked some of their “close friends to give little speeches.”

“Collectively, they spoke with the perfect balance of humor and so much love,” she gushed. “I was a puddle. I stole their printed and handwritten pages right out of their hands to frame them.”

When it came to the big day, which took place at San Ysidro Ranch in California, Steinfeld described it as “unforgettable.”

“It felt like love was running through the veins of every tree at our gorgeous venue in Santa Barbara,” she said in the newsletter. “Our family and friends coming together amplified it.”

She also didn’t let the day’s stormy weather get to her, describing it as  “magical.”

At the reception, the husband-and-wife-duo boogied the night away.

“The dance floor was popping, it was literally bowing,” she stated. “The flow of the reception was dance, speech, cry, dance, eat, dance, speech, cry, dance, etc.”

The fun continued as they had an “underground after-party” with “a DJ, cigar bar, lots of Angel Margarita, grilled cheese sandwiches, and chocolate chip cookies served with shot glasses of milk.”

Steinfeld also shared many never-before-seen photos from the celebration in her newsletter, including a picture of Allen seemingly getting ready in his tux and a snap of their five-tiered “lemon olive oil cake with vanilla buttercream.”

Steinfeld and Allen were first spotted together in 2023 and went Instagram official in July 2024. They later got engaged in November of that year.
