Bands on tour are notorious for their decadent lifestyles, but Blake Shelton will be on his best behavior — because his wife Gwen Stefani, 55, is coming along for the ride.
“She’s not going to sit at home wondering what he’s up to,” a source dishes. “She trusts him implicitly — the main reason is she wants to keep an eye on Blake and make sure he takes care of himself. He tends to get lazy and slip into bad habits when he’s out of her sight.” That’s when the 48-year-old country crooner will start indulging in favorites like Velveeta dip and fried food, skipping workouts and skimping on sleep.
Gwen probably won’t be there for all the shows — she likes to surprise him and keep him on his toes, an insider says.
“Blake finds it claustrophobic and irritating, because he values a little time away from the wife — but he puts up with it because at the end of the day, he’s henpecked,” the source says. “The reason he got Gwen in the first place was his ‘Happy wife, happy life’ attitude.”
