Fans Freak Out After Misleading Post Suggests Zendaya Isn’t Returning For Season 3 of ‘Euphoria’

Fans freaked out after a misleading post appeared to suggest Zendaya and more A-listers from Euphoria will not be returning for season 3.

On Friday, October 17, the official Instagram account for the HBO series shared a post conveying the “returning cast” and “new cast” that will be appearing in the highly anticipated return.

The graphic listed Melvin Bonez Estes, Paula Marshall, Daeg Faerch, Zak Steiner, Dominic Fike, Alanna Ubach, Nika King and Sophia Rose Wilson as returning cast members, alongside the new cast, which includes Natasha Lyonne, Trisha Paytas, Danielle Deadwyler and Eli Roth.

The post was re-shared by Pop Crave on X, captioned, “New and returning cast for ‘Euphoria’ season 3” — and fans were quick to comment.

“NO ZENDAYA??? Oh girrrrl hang it up lmao,” wrote one, while another wrote, “where is zendaya?? cancel the whole show.”

“Where TF are the OGs?” asked another, noting that Sydney Sweeney and Hunter Schafer were also left off.

However, it was announced in February that fan favorites Zendaya — who was photographed filming the show in March — Sweeney, Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry and Colman Domingo would be returning.

Both Variety and Hollywood Reporter confirmed that those cast members would be back — while also naming new guest stars, including Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Kadeem Hardison and Marshawn Lynch.

Original cast member Barbie Ferreira confirmed on The Viall Files podcast earlier this year that she would not appear in season 3.

Season 3 is due back on HBO next spring.
