Ex Lover of Jennifer Aniston’s New Beau Reveals He Was ‘Obscure’ the Last Time They Saw Each Other

The ex-girlfriend of Jennifer Aniston‘s new flame was not at all shocked when the pair got together.

Jim Curtis‘ former flame, Alyssa Pettinato, spoke to the Daily Mail in an article published Tuesday, June 29, and said it was “not surprising” for her to learn that he is dating the Friends alum, 56, even joking that this was “such a step up” for him.

“I call him Uncle Jesse,” she shared, referring to John Stamos’ beloved character from the long-running sitcom Full House. “He’s got a nice face. He is a successful guy. He is really smart. I think that a lot of women are drawn to that.”

Pettinato described the hypnotist as an “unproblematic, pragmatic and calm person” and said he’s “easy to have a conversation with.”

According to Pettinato, she and the transformational coach met on a dating app and dated for about a month “years ago.” They reunited in February when he appeared as a guest on an episode of her MissJudged podcast.

“Basically, we did the episode about men being masculine, standing in their masculinity when they’re leaving a relationship – basically don’t be a cuck about it,” she explained. “And we talked about, ‘Hey, what’s your situation?’ And he just was obscure, so I have no idea still to this day what’s going on.”

As for why their romantic relationship ended, Pettinato revealed that she “ghosted” him.

“We didn’t work out. It’s my fault,” she confessed. “But he’s a good guy. I think he’s definitely a really great guy. I think he would be a fantastic partner to somebody.”

‘We’re just acquaintances, but I have nothing bad to say about him, she added. “I think everything happens for a reason, and I feel like we’re both where we’re supposed to be.”

As Star previously reported, Aniston and the author have been romantically linked since June, when they were spotted dining at a restaurant in Northern California’s Big Sur region.

While the couple has yet to confirm their relationship, People recently reported that they are “casually dating and having fun,” and have “been seeing each other for a few months now.”

Earlier this month, a source told Star that the Morning Show actress — who has been married twice before — is being told by her friends “to pump the brakes and really get to know this guy before she hands over her heart.”

The source explained that Aniston “tends to go all in very fast and is very trusting.”

“They’re not telling her she needs to dump him or anything that extreme, they just want her to be cautious,” the source shared. “Jen’s in a good place in life.”
