Erika Jayne and Teddi Mellencamp Rally Behind Former ‘RHOBH’ Costar Denise Richards Amid Messy Split

No sooner had Denise Richards been blindsided by divorce papers from Aaron Phypers than her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costars entered the chat. And considering that Teddi Mellencamp and Erika Jayne had feuded with the 54-year-old in the past, they were surprisingly supportive.

Teddi first reminded listeners of the Diamonds in the Rough podcast that the mom of three had said she “doesn’t believe in divorce” on a March episode of her spinoff reality show, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, with Aaron, 52, appearing to agree.

“She’s ‘No divorce, no divorce, never have one,’” Teddi went on. “And then he f**king filed on July 4th!” Erika then blasted the former wellness entrepreneur — who had to close up shop in the wake of a still-pending lawsuit and is currently in debt to the tune of $228,000 — for coming after Denise’s money.

“He’s asking for spousal support,” she groused. “She’s a working mom. Come on, man, don’t do this!”

They both also called Aaron out for claiming in his filing that he and Denise have no children together, despite her adopted daughter, who has special needs, living with them since their 2018 wedding. “What a d**kwad,” sniped Teddi, positing that he’d never adopted the child to avoid having to pay child support.

They weren’t the only ones to back Denise. An insider tells Star Garcelle Beauvais also reached out. “Denise appreciates it,” says the source. “She knows things were tense on the show but it’s nice to know they are on her side and think what Aaron’s doing is wrong.”
