Denise Richards Opens Up About Having a ‘Sh–ty Summer’ Amid Messy ‘Second’ Divorce

Denise Richards has broken her silence on her shock divorce from Aaron Phypers. Taking to Instagram, the 54-year-old thanked fans for their support and lamented the end of her marriage.

“There is obviously something going on,” the former Real Housewife said in a video, referring to Aaron’s July filing. “It’s so hard to go through a divorce… This isn’t my first one, it’s my second one!” (Denise was previously wed to Hollywood bad boy Charlie Sheen, dad to her two older daughters.) Saying she was having a “s**tty” summer, Denise went on, “I never thought I’d get divorced again.”

The messy split has seen Denise get a restraining order against her ex and accuse him of abuse. Aaron, who is seeking spousal support, has said the allegations are “categorically untrue” and alleges that the Wild Things star “failed” to file his adoption papers for 14-year-old daughter Lola, saying he raised her as his own (Denise adopted the teen, who has special needs, in 2011), per People.

The legal battle also includes his family, which Denise is trying to evict from one of her homes. No wonder she’s called this a “very, very, very difficult time.”
