It’s a universal fact of life: No parent wants to ever learn their child is being picked on by peers, but Nick Cannon — who shares 12 children with several women — is raising eyebrows with his latest hot take on parenting. During a Tuesday, November 25 sitdown on his podcast We Playin Spades, Cannon, 45, didn’t hold back after asking girlfriend Bre Tiesi when “was the last time” she got her “a** whooped.”
The Selling Sunset star, 34, answered that it was by the couples’ 3-year-old son Legendary. To which Cannon replied, “I tell [him] do not hit girls, you can hit boys.”
“Because them other little boys try to test him,” he explained. “Nah, you gotta throw hands.”
“You gotta teach your child how to defend themself,” the Wild ‘n Out star continued. “They are going to get into fights at school,” adding that if one of his kids got into a fight, he’d want them to “punch the s**t out that little motherf**ker!”
Cannon explained that, as a “very, very small child,” he took Tae Kwan Do and it wasn’t until he got into a few fights that he knew the power and confidence of understanding how to defend himself.

“I don’t tell anyone how to raise their kids,” he shared, “but at some point the confidence as a man of knowing how to [fight] it helps you in life.”
“I’d rather raise a bully, then my child to be bullied,” the All That alum added.
Fans couldn’t help but weigh in on Cannon’s comments.
“It’s ok to teach your kids to defend themselves, but to prefer to raise a bully is crazy,” one person wrote, while another commented: “is he ok? As a parent I don’t wanna raise either one I wanna know what’s the problem and work on it from there.”
“I’d never want to raise a bully. There is a large middle ground between the bully and the bullied. Let’s just all try to raise decent and kind humans,” a third penned.
