This movie recounts the story of Courtney Stodden (Holly Barrett), who in 2011, when she was just 16, wed Green Mile star Doug Hutchison (Doug Savant), then 51. Rather than keeping their union private, they flaunted it, raising eyebrows on social media and on reality shows including Couples Therapy.
But as she grew older, Courtney gained more perspective on their relationship and began realizing the man she thought was her “soulmate” had actually groomed her from a young age. Stodden herself narrates this very timely drama.
