Christina Haack opened up about the end of her marriage to third husband Josh Hall, explaining how her first husband, Tarek El Moussa, helped give her the push to leave.
The HGTV star, 42, recalled a holiday getaway over the Fourth of July weekend in 2024 in which she and her children visited a family friend’s home without Hall, 45.
“That didn’t go down very well [with Josh] as you can imagine, but we went and we had a great weekend,” she told People in an interview published Thursday, October 2, adding that her then-husband “wasn’t too happy.”
“I called Tarek, and I said, ‘I’m worried right now. I feel uncomfortable.’ And he said, ‘Leave,’” she recalled.
The former couple was in the middle of filming their home renovation show, The Flip Off, alongside Tarek and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, when they called it quits on their marriage.
When the episodes finally aired in January, fans watched as she confided in Tarek, 44. “We had a blow up… middle fingers in my face,” she said at the time.

According to the Flip or Flop alum, “There’s a lot of insecurity on [Josh’s] side. He made filming very uncomfortable for me, very hard,” she told the outlet. “It was not fun. I think the filming probably made things worse and sped things up.”
“I just know that I will never allow someone to dim my personality again, ever,” she vowed.
While Haack has since moved on with boyfriend Chris Larocca, she also explained how her divorce from Hall helped mend her coparenting relationship with second ex-husband Ant Anstead.
“We have a bigger appreciation for each other,” she said. “I think my kids love that they know that anyone can come over here. It’s not weird at all. It’s wonderful.”
