Chris Pratt Attempts to Prove His Innocence to Rebecca Ferguson’s A.I. Judge in ‘Mercy’
It’s the near future, and artificial intelligence has replaced judge, jury and executioner. Chris Pratt plays Det. Chris Raven, who helped develop this new system of justice, in which defendants have only 90 minutes to prove that they’re innocent using just the new technology.
When he’s accused of murdering his wife, however, Raven begins to see the system has some major flaws. A great thriller, this timely movie also asks some important questions about A.I.’s limits.
