Chris Noth is clarifying a recent online comment he made about his former Sex and the City costar, Sarah Jessica Parker.
As Star previously reported, the Law & Order alum 71, captioned a photo of himself at the gym on Saturday, January 10, “F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!!” to which someone commented, “You mean fcuk sjp & her award right? lol”, seemingly referring to Parker’s honorary Golden Globe Carol Burnett Award. Noth replied, “Right.”
On Wednesday, January 14, Noth took to Instagram to address reports about his comment.

“My off-the-cuff slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot,” the Good Wife alum captioned a photo of his headshot. “It is not news. It is not worth all this discussion. It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about.”
Noth — who starred as Mr. Big in Sex and the City from 1998 to 2004 — was killed off in the first episode of the revival series, And Just Like That…, which aired in 2021. That same month, two women accused him of sexual assault, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The actor — who vehemently denied the allegations against him — was subsequently cut from scenes in the finale, per TV Line.

Meanwhile, Parker, 60, and her fellow And Just Like That… stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis shared a statement at the time, which read: “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”
