‘Bachelor’ Star Details $22K Hospital Bill From Giving Birth, Reveals What She Actually Paid

Hannah Ann Sluss is being transparent about how much she spent on childbirth.

On Tuesday, December 23, the Bachelor alum, 29, posted a TikTok video breaking down her “hospital bill” from when she delivered her and husband Jake Funk’s first child, Lucas, whom they welcomed on November 20.

“I wanted to run through exactly how much it cost us,” Sluss told her followers. “I checked in on a Wednesday night, had him early Thursday morning, and then left Friday by that afternoon, so it was very quick.”

“Starting off with the delivery room, it was $8,366, OB second bed, $5,850. I’m assuming that’s the postpartum room that they had me in,” she remarked. “That’s really expensive for one night.”

The former reality TV star joked the $5000 price tag for one night qualified as the “most expensive hotel” she’s stayed at, before sharing that her pharmacy bill was $3,681.

“O.R. services $3,000, lab hematology $473, Laboratory $372, IV solutions $235, drugs and pharmacy $20.93, that must have been the Motrin,” she continued, referring to how she took the medication for “really bad pain down there,” from a “second-degree tear” while giving birth.

While the influencer revealed the total cost was $22,000.92, she and the NFL player, 27, only paid $104, seemingly because of their health insurance.

“I did get an epidural, which was $7500, and we paid $840 of that,” Sluss added. “Which was so worth it. I would have honestly probably paid whatever.”

“We haven’t gotten any bills for him [Lucas] yet. I don’t know, am I gonna get hit with something else?” she questioned. “Yeah, that’s how much it costs to have a baby in the United States.”

In her caption, Sluss noted she was breaking down her bill “just for fun” and expressed her gratitude for the care she received.

“I am SO thankful for the incredible doctors, nurses and care that made it all worth it,” she wrote. “Thank you isn’t enough!!! 🙏.”
