Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater Are Reportedly Still Going Strong Despite Rumors of a Split

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater are still going strong despite reports that the two had gone their separate ways.

TMZ reported on Tuesday, November 11, that Grande, 32, and Slater, 33, are still together even though they fueled speculation of their split by not standing next to one another during the cast photo at the Wicked: For Good premiere in London the night prior.

However, the outlet stated that multiple witnesses saw Slater and Grande being affectionate with one another backstage, adding that because the “7 Rings” singer is a homebody, most of the time, they hang out at home and away from the public eye.

Rumors about a rift between the two Wicked stars had been circulating for months. Star previously reported that Slater and his ex-wife, Lilly Jay, were spotted hanging out, along with a small child who was thought to be their son, in early September. The trio was seen in Jersey City, New Jersey, on September 5.

“I made eye contact with Ethan while walking out of the parking garage,” an eyewitness exclusively told Star at the time. “He looked really happy, just pushing the stroller like any other parent. Just a few steps ahead was a woman who looked exactly like his ex, Jay, helping a little kid ride in one of those toy wagons.”

The following month, the Daily Mail reported that Slater was having a hard time handling Grande’s glamorous lifestyle.

“He sometimes wonders if he should have stayed in his quieter world,” a source told the outlet on October 1. “He loves her, but he’s drowning in the circus of her life. He’s used to a controlled Broadway stage, not sold-out arenas screaming for [her] every move. It’s exhausting just watching him try to keep up.”
