Ant Anstead Gushes About ‘Iconic’ Girlfriend Renee Zellweger as Actress Is Honored in London
Ant Anstead shared a rare glimpse into his relationship with girlfriend Renée Zellweger as the Bridget Jones star was honored with a statue in London.
“Iconic,” Anstead, 46, shared via his Instagram Story alongside a photo of his longtime partner and her new statue depicting her beloved character, according to a screenshot obtained by People.
Zellweger, 56, was in London’s Leicester Square for the unveiling of the 20th anniversary tribute.
“I think she’s much cuter than me,” she said of the statue.
The Wheelers Dealers star began dating after meeting while filming his Discovery+ show, Celebrity IOU Joyride, in 2021.
“I’m really grateful to the show because these amazing things happen in your world and sometimes when things collide, they collide at the most obscure times when you least expect them,” he later gushed to People. “And that’s what happened in this case.”
The couple largely keeps their relationship out of the spotlight, only occasionally sharing photos to social media. Earlier this year, however, Zellweger revealed she had relocated to Southern California to be closer to her “fella.”
Anstead was previously married to Christina Haack, with whom he shares 6-year-old son Hudson. He also shared two grown children, Amelie and Archie, with ex-wife Louise Anstead.
