Aaron Rodgers is making it clear his new bride wants to stay out of the limelight — and is demanding fans respect that.

On Tuesday, June 24, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, 41, appeared on the Pat McAfee Show and critiqued the public for wanting details about his wife, saying, “The entitlement to information about my private life is so f**king ridiculous and embarrassing.”

“And now I’m with somebody who’s private, who doesn’t want to be in the public eye. Didn’t sign up to be a celebrity. Doesn’t want to be a part of it,” he shared. “Because I do things in private because I want my personal life to be private, now I’m weird. Now, the paparazzi is stalking me on the beach, trying to get a picture of her.”

Earlier this month, the NFL star revealed that he’s been married for “a couple of months” after a reporter pointed out in a press conference that he was wearing a wedding ring. (Aaron did not confirm his wife’s identity. However, fans believe it’s likely his girlfriend, Brittani.)

Aaron added that his wife should get the opportunity to share her identity on her terms.

“My private life is my private life. It’s gonna stay that way. I’m with somebody who wants to be private. If and when she wants to be out and there’s a picture, she’ll choose that. She deserves a right to that,” he stated.

During his appearance on the show, Aaron also revealed that once his NFL career concludes, he too wants to live a life out of the spotlight.

“When this is all done, I’m out,” he said. “You won’t see me.”

The former Green Bay Packers player also made a rare comment about his family, saying, “Any other ridiculous stories out there about my family that I don’t talk to, they wouldn’t know any information about me, like leave them alone.”

Aaron has a famously strained relationship with his loved ones, including his brother Jordan Rodgers, who appeared on Season 12 of The Bachelorette in 2016 and found love with his now-wife, Joelle “Jojo” Fletcher.

A source told the Daily Mail earlier this month that Jordan, 36, and Fletcher, 34, “are still angry that Aaron didn’t go to their wedding. He didn’t want to be with his brother on the biggest day of his life, so why should they twist themselves up over this wedding?”

“Jordan and JoJo didn’t go to the wedding and don’t even know anything really about Brittani,” the source further explained. “What they’ve heard is secondhand from his parents.”
