Madonna has been hinting to fans that she might be relocating to Portugal since March when she reportedly began house hunting there. It has been widely reported that the decision to move followed Madge’s 11-year-old son David Banda‘s acceptance to the Benfica Youth Academy’s soccer team.
According to the Portuguese magazine Visão, David will be attending the sports academy while also studying academics at a French school. The article also revealed that the singer has purchased a nearly 9 million dollar home in Sintra, a resort just outside Lisbon.
The Vogue singer has repeatedly praised the country, saying in another Instagram post, “The energy of Portugal is so inspiring. I feel very creative and alive here and I look forward to working on my film LOVED and making new Music!!!” She goes on to say, “This will be the next Chapter in My Book! It’s time to conquer the world from a different vantage point!!”
