It’s not her party, but Drew Barrymore will still cry if she wants to! Sources close to the actress tell Star she was excitedly planning a getaway for pal Cameron Diaz’s 45th birthday in late August, only to get a curt “thanks, but no thanks” from her supposed best friend.
“Cam said she had already planned something low-key with Benji [Madden] at home,” reports an insider. “Drew threw out a bunch of alternative dates but Cameron just kept saying, ‘Sorry, busy’ — Drew was shocked and so hurt.”
Drew can’t help but think this is payback for her vanishing act while diving into a new romance with her business partner, David Hutchinson.
“Drew leaned on Cameron so much during her divorce, but since she met David, she hasn’t reached out as much,” adds the source. “So Cam doesn’t feel guilty about putting her own love life first, too!”
