Sinking Ship

Johnny Depp's Legal War With His Former Managers Is Getting Nasty!

The ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ star's dirty secrets are coming to light!

It looks like Johnny Depp’s reputation is sinking faster than his bank accounts. The fight between the Pirates of the Caribbean star and his longtime business team, The Management Group, took a nasty turn on June 19, when TMG released correspondence with the actor in a bid to show that he was fully aware of his money problems.
In emails dating to 2009, manager Joel Mandel asked the star to “take it easy on holiday spending” and to “look realistically at income and expenses.” Johnny’s response? He offered to sell some art, adding, “there is only so much I can do.” As to the suggestion he give up his $200,000-a-month private jet: “Flying commercial would be a f**king nightmare.”
TMG’s countersuit also shed light on Johnny’s turbulent marriage to Amber Heard, backing up the actress’ allegations of abuse. Mandel claims that Johnny’s staff were aware he had “gotten physical” with his ex, including a time when he “violently kicked” her in 2014. The docs also stated that the texts between Amber and Johnny’s assistant — wherein he apologized for his boss’ “disgusting” behavior — were genuine, though Johnny had pressured his employee to say they were fake. Sounds like Johnny needs to invest in some serious damage control!
