Adele finally confirmed that she married Simon Konecki, her longtime boyfriend and the father of her baby Angelo, in a small ceremony around Christmas. She kept the wedding a secret until she let the good news slip at the Grammys during her acceptance speech for Best Album.
The singer gushed, “To the Grammys, I appreciate it — the Academy, I love you. My manager, my husband and my son, you’re the only reason I do it.”
Previously she’d always referred to Simon as her boyfriend. Rumors began flying at the end of 2016 when the pair was reportedly spotted wearing rings that looked suspiciously like wedding bands.
The couple began dating in 2011 after they were supposedly introduced by singer Ed Sheeran.
What do we know about Adele’s new hubby? He’s a former business man who started a charity organization called drop4drop, that works to provide sustainable clean water solutions for people in developing nations.
And of course, he’s also made Adele, famous for writing sad songs, a very happy woman.
