Tori Spelling‘s half-baked, red, splotchy complexion is stirring the pot about what happened to the Mystery Girls actress at the Calabasas Medical Spa on Aug. 23.
Star has exclusively learned the 42-year-old appears to have recently undergone laser resurfacing about one to two weeks ago, says Dr. John G. Westine of Delray Beach Plastic Surgery, who hasn’t treated Tori.

Dr. Al-Dujaili of Sadick Dermatology in New York agrees. “It looks like Tori had a laser done, most likely fractionated CO2 resurfacing,” says the dermatologist, who also hasn’t treated Tori told Star. The procedure is meant to do more than make your face look like it got stuck in a toaster, though—in the end, it’s supposed to make her skin look all gorg again—improving texture, tone, pore size, unevenness, ridding brown spots and wrinkles—but right now, it’s one hot mess. And the worst part: the redness will gradually lose half its severity about… every month?!
At this point in the healing process, the skin is simply “behaving like newborn skin,” says Dr. Westine—but it’s still making our stomachs roll over.
Star readers know that Tori’s bank account hasn’t been as plump as it used to be, not even being able to afford therapy for her and husband Dean McDermott back in February, so it’s a little shocking the actress still has funds to pay for such a hefty procedure.

“The cost of an active FX procedure with IV sedation is around $3,300 and a more aggressive max FX costs about $5,300,” says Dr. Westine. Sadick Dermatology says they offer it for $4,500 for the full face, further proving that youthful beauty doesn’t come without a heavy price tag.
