Hopefully the controversial chef won’t fall out of step in her next big debut on Dancing With The Stars.

Some might say it’s quite a gamble to bring such a scandal-feeding celebrity to the show, but it sounds like ABC network has been after Deen, 68, more than once for this role—once in 2010 and again in 2013—both times Deen refused the challenge. “They did ask me and I said no,” Deen said. “Fat girls don’t look good sweating.”

But maybe after watching so many other celebs melt weight right off their bodies during the competition, the celebrity chef has had a change of heart. Or is she still hungry for some extra cash?

Star readers know the rumor mill has been spinning about Paula draining her bank account since her name was ripped from Food Network. So while she may trying to get out of a social hole still, more importantly she might be trying to dig herself out of her financial hole by taking on this new gig.

“Paula spends like she’s pulling in $15 million a year, but she isn’t… not by a long shot,” dishes a tipster to Star.

After her 2013 N-word scandal, the Southerner begged for forgiveness on a taped video, but reopened a new can of scandal worms earlier this year when she posted a photo of her son Bobby Deen‘s face painted brown in an I Love Lucy spoof.

Let’s hope she can dance to a different tune!
