Looks like Jimmy Fallon has had a run of freakishly bad luck this summer, suffering a couple of odd, self-inflicted injuries over the last few months. The most recent: The Tonight Show host chipped his tooth while trying to open a tube of scar gel on August 21, and hightailed it to his dentist ASAP, so that the show could still go on later that evening.
Always in good spirits, no matter the affliction, the 40-year-old comedian posted a pic from the dentist chair, saying: “Chipped front tooth trying to open tube of scar tissue repair gel for recovering finger injury. Thank you Dr. Jobe DDS! #BestSummerEver Brand new Tonight Show tonight!”
Star told you that earlier this season that, in a more grisly incident, the Saturday Night Live alum was rushed to the hospital June 26th, after nearly ripping his own finger off after tripping on a kitchen rug at home. The digit in question, which has been bandaged ever since, and even periodically joked about during the show, is now, according to Jimmy, ready for scar gel—thus his latest unfortunate mishap.
Although he has had physical challenges as of late, Jimmy’s professional life is on an upswing, as NBC renewed The Tonight Show contract for six more years, giving the funnyman something to smile about with that shiny new tooth!
