Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard, who just celebrated their 1-year anniversary, announced the couple will be moving to a new country for missionary work “for longer than the typical short-term mission trip,” according to their website.
“After much prayer and seeking Godly counsel, we realized that taking this opportunity and moving overseas in order to serve is the best option for our family. Earlier this year we shared our plans with our families and in May, I shared this decision with my manager at Wal-Mart,” Derick, 26, posted on the website. Later, Jill shared Derick’s Instagram announcement about their big move.
The exact location hasn’t been named, but the “new endeavor” that Derick and Jill, 24, are calling it will happen in July.
“A friend of ours wisely shared that if God was leading us to serve Him abroad, we should pursue it as early as possible, to avoid a more difficult move later, when our roots are deep and we’re more comfortable in life,” the couple said. They also announced on their website that they’d be accepting donations for their new adventure.
So, Jill and Jessa Duggar‘s spinoff series really must not be happening at this point, right? As for the rest of the 19 Kids and Counting family, nobody is sure where this leaves the TLC show that was removed from the network last month after the Josh Duggar scandal surfaced.
