Donald Trump announced he’ll be running for president! He gave the big speech while he was in his 68-story New York-based Trump Tower on June 16.
“We need somebody that literally will take this country and make it great again — we can do that,” Trump said. “So ladies and gentleman, I am officially running for president of the United States.”
His candidacy will represent Republicans and believes he is the “most successful person ever to run for the presidency, by far.” Trump says even his Gucci store is “worth more” than the last presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
“The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems,” he said. “It’s true, and these are the best and finest. They can’t get jobs because there are no jobs. I’ll be the greatest jobs president that God ever created.”
The Apprentice boss will show a $9 billion fortune in declaring his assets and debts, according to The Washington Post, which he plans on proving why he’s been so successful in business. He’ll run for presidency with his slogan, “Make America Great Again.”
Trump halted the filming his NBC series The Apprentice to start building his presidential campaign earlier this year in March, so fans are going to have to practice patience for his biggest project ever!
