She’s an exact replica of Barbie herself, but Ukrainian model Valeria Lukyanova doesn’t appreciate her name-calling haters on social media.
In fact, she’s not happy that she’s even called Human Barbie to begin with. She believes her haters “really envy” her, she told Cosmopolitan in a recent interview. “They don’t have a pretty face or a pretty figure. They eat at McDonald’s, and that’s how they defend themselves. They laugh and say that they don’t need this. If this didn’t bother them inside, they wouldn’t laugh. They have envy.”
“I don’t think they are right. I think it’s even a little degrading and insulting, but I’m used to it now,” Valeria said during an interview with Cosmopolitan recently about not liking the fact that people think she’s trying to imitate a doll. “I have to comply with it because it’s become part of my aesthetic image, but I don’t like it.”
And yes, she has a reason for tagging her photos with #Barbie anyway: how else will people find her and become fans?
“When people look for me, they look for me with that hashtag. I’m the most popular [Barbie] copy in the world. When people say ‘Barbie,’ it’s clear that it’s associate with me, not anyone else.”
