She’s making her statement “from a distance,” but Bette Midler is saying it out loud.

Josh Duggar‘s scandal even caught Bette’s eye when she decided to post on Twitter about the 69-year-old’s feelings behind the molestation allegations.

Other celebrities weren’t holding back their comments either. Montel Williams went on a Twitter rant about the Duggars too.

Josh Duggar admitted to sexually molesting little girls, including a few of his own sisters. He recently resigned his position as Executive Director of the Family Research Council, a Christian public policy ministry, based in Washington, D.C., possibly because there are no children there to fondle.

Jessa Duggar’s father-in-law responded to what Josh Duggar is going through on the family’s blog.

In a statement, the eldest son of the famous 19 Kids and Counting family, expressed his remorse: “Twelve years ago as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret.” He added, “We spoke with authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling.”

Will 19 Kids & Counting Survive After Josh Duggar Scandal?

The molestation incidents took place in 2002 and 2003, when Josh was 14, although the offenses were not reported to police until 2006. According to reports and his public admissions, Josh would fondle the private parts of little girls who were awake, and also those who were sleeping. Claiming that he confessed his “past teenage mistakes” to her years before they married, Duggar’s wife Anna has accepted him and stood by his side. They have three children of their own together, with a fourth child – a little girl – expected in July of this year.
