Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have taken on a new role: parents! Reps for the cute couple confirmed that the singer and actress welcomed son Silas Randall Timberlake.
So what’s in a name? Silas was the middle name of the “Mirrors” singer’s late grandfather Bill Bomar. Randall is Justin’s middle name and his father’s first name.
The singer’s mother took to Facebook to express her excitement over the baby news. “My amazing son and his beautiful wife have given us the most precious gift in the world,” she wrote. “Silas Randall Timberlake! Named after my father and my son! Life is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier! God bless you all and thanks for all the congrats!”
Justin confirmed the baby news on his 34th birthday. “Thank you EVERYONE for the Bday wishes! This year, I’m getting the GREATEST GIFT EVER. CAN’T WAIT,” he wrote alongside a sweet snap of himself kissing his wife’s baby bump.
The “Suit & Tie” singer even gave his wife – and his then-unborn child! – a shout out while accepting the Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
“You can’t have innovation without creation, so finally, I want to thank my best friend, my favorite collaborator — my wife, Jessica, who’s at home watching,” he said. “Honey, I can’t wait to see our greatest creation yet… Don’t worry, daddy’s heading home right now to innovate by learning how to change a poopy diaper and get my swaddle on.”
