Baby makes six in Cate Blanchett’s household! Earlier this month, it was revealed that the actress and her husband, Andrew Upton, had decided to privately adopt a daughter, and now, she’s opening up about the decision.
“There’s a lot of children out there who don’t have the good fortune that our biological children do, so it’s wonderful,” she gushed to an Australian newspaper. “It’s wonderful to welcome a little girl into our fold.”
The couple, who’ve been married for 17 years, already have three biological sons. “Fourth time around, it’s extraordinary,” the Cinderella star added. “We’re besotted.”
At the beginning of March, Cate’s rep announced that the family had adopted a baby girl and named her Edith Vivian Patricia Upton.
