Bruce Jenner is currently dealing with the aftermath of the fatal car accident he was involved in last month, while simultaneously undergoing his transformation into a woman right in the public eye. But on Sunday’s premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which follows the famous family beginning from last fall, the former Olympian deals with another problem — his divorce from Kris Jenner.
“I haven’t really talked to [Kris] at all,” Bruce tells Kourtney Kardashian in a sneak peek for the episode. “It’s kind of surprising to me, even though divorce papers have been signed and we’re both going our separate ways…it doesn’t mean I dislike her. I know I love the peace and quiet out here, but sometimes I miss a little bit of the drama.”
In a subsequent confessional, the 65-year-old opens up even more about the difficult split (Kris officially filed for divorce in September, almost a year after the couple announced their separation). “Kris, at times, can be opinionated,” he admits. “And I kind of enjoy being able to make my own decisions. But Kris and I spent 24 years together, every day, all the time. So sometimes it’s a little tough.”
While chatting with his eldest Kardashian stepchild, Bruce also describes the difficulty of juggling his children with Kris, and his children from other past marriages. “Sometimes I feel so separated, you know?” he explains. “The Kardashians over here, the Jenners over here, little me in the middle. We gotta keep the family going.”
Keeping Up with the Kardashians returns to E! with its tenth season this Sunday, March 15.
