Kelly Osbourne is breaking her silence for the first time since announcing she’d be leaving her job at Fashion Police last month. The purple-haired Brit appeared on her mom’s daytime talk show The Talk on Tuesday, and opened up about her time on the show.
“It was the five best working years of my life,” she admitted. “I am so grateful for the experience. Working for Joan Rivers for five years was incredible. I learned so much and, it’s just, you know…I’m excited for my future now. I want to try a new thing.”
Controversy struck the E! series following this year’s Academy Awards, when Giuliana Rancic commented that attendee Zendaya’s hair, styled in long dreadlocks, looked like “she smells like patchouli oil or weed.” Kelly, who’s friends with the 17-year-old Disney star, made it clear she had nothing to do with the statement, meant to be a joke, made by Giuliana, and it was subsequently announced she’d be leaving the show.
But, as Star previously reported, there may have been more to her decision to bow out. In fact, a source says the 30-year-old brought a lot of drama behind the scenes, and the network gave her the decision to quit…or be fired. “The producers had had enough,” the insider admits.”Kelly has been a nightmare to work with since Joan’s passing.”
