Friends and family are gathered at Bobbi Kristina’s side as she continues to fight for her life. The 21-year-old and daughter of the late Whitney Houston was found unresponsive in a bathtub over the weekend, and while her condition is improving, there’s still a long way to go.
While Bobbi is still unconscious, it’s reported that the swelling in her brain has gone down, and that she was even able to move her eyes during a test on Monday. “Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family,” the family said in a statement. “As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time.”
Bobbi’s dad, Bobby Brown, has been in constant vigil at his daughter’s side.
While Monday’s tests did reveal some promising results, doctors are still worried that Bobbi could suffer permanent neurological damage from being submerged without oxygen for several minutes on Saturday.
The whole situation is eerily similar to Whitney’s — the singer was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton Hotel room nearly three years ago.
