Is Porsha Williams officially the biggest badass on The Real Housewives of Altanta!? The reality star was pulled over for speeding on Monday, and then arrested for driving with a suspended license. This incident marks her second run-in with the law this year.
After being handcuffed, the Bravo star was taken to jail, where she spent a few hours before posting a $1,726 bond. She was eventually released, and on Monday evening, issued a statement describing the situation.
“I was headed to visit my grandfather who is very ill with cancer in the hospital, and I was pulled over,” she explained. “I was wrong for speeding, absolutely, and apologize for putting anyone at risk. I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused. Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone. I was released, I have my license, my car and my freedom.”
Back in March, Porsha turned herself in on misdemeanor battery charges, stemming from her physical altercation with Kenya Moore at the RHOA reunion show. In the most recent episode of the show, though, the ladies made up.
