She’s kept her personal life fairly private for the last several years, but according to Nicki Minaj, that all changes on her latest album The PinkPrint. In fact, the rapper tells Rolling Stone that giving fans a glimpse into her personal life was her main goal for the record.
Earlier this month, the former American Idol judge debuted her emotional track “All Things Go,” in which she alludes to a teenage pregnancy that ended in abortion, a topic which she opens up more about in the mag.
“I thought I was going to die,” she admits. “I was a teenager. It was the hardest thing I’d ever gone through.” Nicki adds that the decision “haunted me all my life.”
“It’d be contradictory if I said I wasn’t pro-choice,” she says. “I wasn’t ready. I didn’t have anything to offer a child.”
