James Franco and Seth Rogen’s latest movie will see the light of day! Days following Sony’s decision to pull The Interview from theaters due to terrorist threats, the corporation confirmed on Tuesday that the movie will get a limited theatrical release.
Once Sony broke the news that the comedy will be playing in select theaters, the actors took to Twitter to express their approval. “VICTORY!!!!!!! The PEOPLE and THE PRESIDENT have spoken!!! SONY to release THE INTERVIEW in theaters on XMAS DAY!” James excitedly wrote on Instagram. “CELEBRATING!!!!! “The Interview” starring Seth Rogen and James Flacco saved by President Obacco! I MEAN PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!!! Sorry!!!”
Last week, President Obama said Sony “made a mistake” in deciding to pull The Interview from theaters.
“The people have spoken!” Seth added. “Freedom has prevailed! Sony didn’t give up! The Interview will be shown at theaters willing to play it on Xmas day!”
