Mrs. Johnny McDaid definitely sounds better than Mrs. Chanandler Bong! Rumors are swirling that Courteney Cox and the Snow Patrol rocker are set to say “I do” on Nov. 8 — and Star has all the romantic details.
“They are planning two bashes,” an insider reveals. The Cougar Town actress and musician, who became engaged in June after eight months of dating, will reportedly have their official wedding ceremony in Los Angeles, followed by a small gathering in Northern Ireland with Johnny’s family and friends. Courteney’s best friend, Jennifer Aniston, who will serve as a bridesmaid, offered to host the nuptials at her Bel Air mansion, but the bride-to-be declined — and the location details remain a secret.
“The gesture meant so much to Courteney because it was where Johnny proposed,” the pal gushes.
The couple’s good friend Ed Sheeran, who introduced them in 2013, will be a groomsman. “Johnny will always be grateful to Ed for bringing him and Courteney together,” the insider explains. “Ed’s a part of their close circle of friends.”
The brunette beauty will also be serenaded on her big day. “Johnny has written two new love songs for Courteney and one that will honor his late father,” the source divulges. “And Ed has promised to sing a very special song for their first dance.”
Courteney’s daughter, Coco, along with ex-husband David Arquette, will also play an important role in the ceremony. “She’s getting too old to be a flower girl,” the friend reveals. “So she will be a bridesmaid along her godmother, Jen. Courteney thinks having only two is perfect.”
