A housewife from New Jersey is headed to Connecticut! It was announced Wednesday that Teresa Giudice will serve her 15-month prison sentence at the facility in Danbury, Connecticut that inspired Netflix’s hit series Orange is the New Black.
Besides just making the announcement, though, the judge denied the reality star’s request to serve 12 months of her time at a halfway house so she could work and see her kids. Teresa is expected to report to the Danbury facility on Jan. 5 to begin her time.
Earlier this month, the Bravo star and her husband, Joe Giudice, were found guilty of bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy. Once Teresa finishes her sentence, Joe will serve his 41 months (the judge has allowed them to serve concurrently so one parent can be home with the couple’s four daughters).
Two and a half months to go, Teresa!
