It was a girls night for Avril Lavigne’s 30th birthday over the weekend — because her husband, Chad Kroeger was nowhere in sight! The couple are currently going through a rough patch, and may even be headed for a split, but the singer was all smiles while celebrating the milestone 3-0 with friends on Saturday night.
Wearing a bright pink dress, Avril flashed a huge smile while posing for pictures on the red carpet, with her cake and with friends at The Bank in Las Vegas.
Still, she took to Twitter and gave a subtle hint that her marriage to the Nickelback rocker might not be everlasting. “My sister Amie and my best friend @CarynAlpert,” she captioned a photo on the social media site. “Family is forever.” Hmmm….and perhaps marriage isn’t?
Avril and Chad got engaged just six months after they first met, and tied the knot a year later. “It was all very rushed and, as of now, they both agree that it just isn’t working out,” a source told Star. “The jealousy, lack of trust, constant screaming matches and never-ending fights are exhausting for both of them.”
